I have a Bluetooth adapter on my desktop pc, and I was wondering if any bluetooth headsets that are used with mobile phones (cell phones) work with this or is there a specific type of headset needed?

Let me make sure this is clear, I DO NOT want Voip…skype ..or things like it.
I have a modem built into my laptop, I want to know of software ( free or paid) that will allow me to hook my already being paid for land line into it, and use my regualer headset to speak to the person that calls.
That is all…i am sure if there is something out there it will have a way of ringing and a thing that will show the caller id but i can’t find it!
Googling “Using your computer modem as a phone” Come up with crap I don’t want…like how to use your cell phone as a computer modem.
Reason I am asking this is because then I can get rid of my cordless phone that won’t show caller ID info anymore cuz it’s screen is damaged now.

I have a Cingular 8125. I can hook the phone up to my computer VIA usb, i can use it as a modem, i can sync contacts transfer files etc to it. What I want to do is send sound to my phone (so my phone acts like a speaker) not sound files. live sound, so i can use my bluetooth headset to listen to the sounds coming from my computer via the cell phone (PDA). I was hoping that since the phone acts like a modem, it could also act as a speaker for my computer.

The headset is a vodaphone(service provider) bluetooth headset(of the over the ear variety) made for mobile phones(cell phones) by Plantronics. My computer has a bluetooth dongle in its USB drive, it has some very bad supplied software. I want to know how I can make the headset work as speakers and microphone for my computer. I have windows XP, but can I use it to controll the headset and USB dongle instead of the supplied software.
When I used the supplied software the headset just made a kind of assending tune. No techno-babble please

I have a headset for my computer and I’m constantly on Skype making calls to people while I’m doing different things. And i was wondering is there a way for calls to get forwarded from my phone to my computer? It would be so much more convenient to be able to take them through my headset instead of putting my cell phone to my ear every time someone calls me. Are there any free programs that do this or is there a way to do it with Skype? Thanks guys!

I have a bluetooth cell phone and a bluetooth USB adapter for my computer. I can connect the phone to my computer as an audio gateway, and use the my computer headset as a “bluetooth hands free” on my phone. Is there any way that the audio can be recorded on my computer?
