No, it shouldn’t. What about eating or tuning the radio? Or any of a million other things people do in the car that distracts them?
Bottom line, if you have an accident because you’re distracted, that’s the problem, not the distraction.

When do you have to use an ear piece while driving? Or has that law already gone into effect. I live in Washington State if that matters.

Let me make sure this is clear, I DO NOT want Voip…skype ..or things like it.
I have a modem built into my laptop, I want to know of software ( free or paid) that will allow me to hook my already being paid for land line into it, and use my regualer headset to speak to the person that calls.
That is all…i am sure if there is something out there it will have a way of ringing and a thing that will show the caller id but i can’t find it!
Googling “Using your computer modem as a phone” Come up with crap I don’t want…like how to use your cell phone as a computer modem.
Reason I am asking this is because then I can get rid of my cordless phone that won’t show caller ID info anymore cuz it’s screen is damaged now.

I don’t care what your plan’s advertised cost is — I really want to know how much it costs YOU. (A $29.95 plan, plus all the extra minutes you use, plus taxes, plus 411 calls, all that — this might easily average $60/month.) I’m looking for real-world, not advertising, in other words.
If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to know know the service provider and phone you use, too; and what did you find out about your plan or phone that you do / do not like?
I’m looking at Sprint Q and T-mobile Dash, as I have a need for lots of memory for my phone book, and I like to be able to fetch emails on the road. A wireless headset and ActiveSync, plus a car charger would also be nice. With rollover minutes, I’d need only 300 a month; without, I could easily go past 1200, and I understand some plans have free incoming minutes — that would help a LOT.
One more question: do I need phone advice, or a therapist? Thanks!

“The regular wired headset has been found to intensify radiation into the ear canal. The wire transmits not only the radiation from the cell phone but also serves as an antenna attracting EMFs (electromagnetic fields) from the surroundings ”
So does prolonged listening on your iPhone going to affect your brain somehow?

depends on the state, the link below will show you every state’s current laws.http://www.ghsa.org/html/stateinfo/laws/…
Love the thumbs down guys!
But the ‘federal’ laws is hands free only on all government property, and while in any government vehicles. no texting. Cause that’s just stupid to text and drive, watch the road people.
