This is my first bluetooth headset; I’m trying it out by calling my home phone from my cell, but I hear a lot of static in the earpiece when I start the call. On the other end (I recorded a msg on my answering machine), there was no static, but the sound was … maybe modulated, lower in pitch and sort of dark and truncated sounding–hard to understand, at any rate.
What’s normal? How do I troubleshoot this? Phone is an LG Trax with ~1/2 charge; headset a Motorola H721, pretty fully charged. The phone was in my hand, not far away. I know I could try other equipment, but I want to give this one a fair shot.
